Ever since the Chicago Bears did the "Super Bowl Shuffle" in 1985, it's kind of been a "thing" for sports teams to make music videos. And here's more proof it needs to stop right now.
--Most Major League Baseball teams played their first game of the season yesterday, including the Chicago White Sox. And the intro that played on Comcast SportsNet before that game was over-the-top bad.
--You can watch it on Deadspin.com. It's the White Sox starting line-up . . . in a recording studio . . . pretending to lay down vocals for a hard rock song.
--Which might have worked as a 20-second intro or something. But it's a full two-and-a-half minute music video of them lip-syncing to the grunt-heavy song "Ladies and Gentlemen" by a band called Saliva.
