"Jewel in the Night" might not shred and melt faces, but it's kind of hard to bust on the guy. We can all admire the fact that it's the first original song written for and recorded on the International Space Station. Canadian astronaut (that explains the Gordon Lightfootiness)  Chris Hadfield performed his self-penned Christmas tune while orbiting Earth and posted it on Twitter for the holiday. If you hear a little ambient noise behind Hadfield's folksy vocals and guitar playing, it could have been worse. Hadfield notes that quietest spots on the ISS are the astronauts' sleep stations, which are "like small insulated pods, good for recording music." And the noisiest? "The toilet :)"

It would kick so much ass if he recorded a cover of the theme from Firefly.
